Frequently Asked Questions

What type of file do you use?

Generally speaking there are 2 different types of files. One is a line art file (.svg, .ai, .dxf, eps, .wmf, .eps, cad, cdr etc) and other is a pixel file (.png, .jpg, .tiff, .bmp, .gif, psp etc)

And the third is a .pdf which kind of sits in the middle and can be adjusted to either type of file.

What kind of logo do you need?

We prefer an original file from the person who designed it for you. The original pdf that links to all shapes/sizes/colors is ideal. Chances are you saved them on your email starred folder or downloaded to your laptop/desktop. Depending on the product we are trying to imprint/logo will matter what file type works best for the product being offered.

Can I send you my Canva link, design, logos?

Absolutely. We understand that using this service is a simple, less expensive way to create a logo than hiring a graphic designer. We are able to use these. If you can add us as a collaborator on the designs, we can take and save the part the correct way that we need. We can also snag your color hex codes for UV printing services to better match colorways for your printing needs. - Just let us know if you have Canva, and we can share the email for our Canva Pro Account so you can add us as a collaborator and we can download the exact file we need.

What logo should I not use?

A picture you took of your logo on your vehicle, a screenshot of your website, the tiny little icon on your website, a picture of your t-shirt/hoodie. We need an actual file. These other pictures are helpful if you are trying to duplicate a previous done job but are not required.

Is there a set up fee?

A simple question, broken into 3 parts. Yes, Maybe and No.

Will start with no. If you have the proper logo .svg .ai or .png .pdf file we originally ask for, then we just set it up. It takes us only a few minutes and don’t feel like we need to charge to use your file. That being said, sometimes they need a little tweaking as majority of logos are multi-colored where in Laser Engraving we need it to be in a single color design.

If it takes beyond our complimentary set up of 15 min, then we do charge a minimum $25 set up fee. That’s where the maybe comes in.

And the YES we will have to charge if we need to set up, redraw, or reconfigure your logo - basically taking the vehicle, hat/t-shirt picture and recreating the wheel. Depending on the time it takes will determine the pricing of it which will be communicated through the process. It pays to have good quality logos for us to use instead of increasing the time it takes to produce the logo and then processing your products.

Can I use a Copyright design?

Unfortunately we do not play with copyright infringements. We do not use logos from NFL, NBA, MLB, Disney, Harley Davidson, College teams, etc. Please respect our professional business by not requesting these logos. There are plenty of other businesses who are willing to flirt with that line of getting prosecuted if they get caught. We have worked hard in building an honest business without infringing on others.

Can I bring my own products?

Yes, no, maybe. This will be a case by case basis. Some products cannot be lasered due to the makeup of the chemical composition of the product. For example- some plastics contain PVC, which when lasered turn into Chlorine Gas and are extremely corrosive and actually super toxic to humans and there are some leathers are that are cured in a way that also make it toxic and can ruin the internal components of our high end commercial grade equipment. If you have something you want done- ask. We might not be able to laser it but we very well could UV print on it and visa-versa. Send us a message, where you are purchasing it from and give us as much detail as you can so we can better answer that question!

Why is your system better?

Commercial grade equipment- it just is. You aren’t going to be able to make 5,000 cookies with a single hand mixer in your kitchen and not have the motor break on you, just like I couldn’t cut 10 dozen cobs of corn with an electric knife last week without the motor seizing up. Cheap, inexpensive lasers/printers are not made to handle the longevity of running 24/7.

We constantly get messages from hobby laser owners wondering if we can help them out because their machines are down and we try to be accommodating- but a lot of times our shop rate is higher and covering our equipment consumables is out of their reach.

Their lower -race to the bottom price -isn’t sustainable to keep parts on hand OR even being able to receive parts within a few weeks to months turn around from ordering overseas. Our laser is manufactured in the US in Colorado and our UV printer is manufactured in Louisiana. If we were to run into a problem, we would be up and running within a 24 hour window.

I screwed up, I need something done ASAP! Can you help me?

Oh, we love this one. Don’t worry — everything is figure-out-able. We’ll jump in and do our absolute best to pull off your last-minute save. Just know that “ASAP” usually means things might look a little different than planned (color tweaks, substitutions, or a whole new creative twist or plan B or C).

Here’s the deal: last-minute orders come with a rush fee — and that clock starts the second you hit us with a HELP! message. Why? Because we’re a family-run shop balancing kids, sports, and, you know, actual lives. When you send that SOS, we stop what we’re doing right then, start dialing suppliers, and scramble to make things happen. That’s real-time hustle, and it comes with real-time costs. Other businesses END as the clock hits the hour hand. We will bring out all the cards.

And let’s be clear: when you hit us with a HELP, this isn’t your free “idea shopping” session. Don’t take our solutions, run to another shop, try to DIY it, or hit cancel after we’ve already lit the emergency flares. That’s not resourceful — that’s just plain asshole behavior. Don’t be that guy. A bill will be sent for $100 for a solutions consultation to fix the problem YOU called about- as services rendered.

When we fire up the panic button, we’ve got maybe a 3–5 minute window to lock things down. If you wander off to “check with your boss/wife/husband/committee of decision-makers” and circle back later… sorry, that train has already left the station.

So yes, we’ll hustle for you. But remember: your lack of planning doesn’t become our emergency for free. A rush fee isn’t just a penalty — it’s a procrastination tax PLUS the child buy-off fee. That means you’re funding the pizza night, ice cream bribes, or game tickets it takes to make up for the family time we just skipped on your behalf.

Think fast, say yes quick, and we’ll turn your “oh no” into a “hell yeah, we’re making this happen.” (Shipping, though? Still out of our hands unfortunately.)

Rush fees: funding little league snacks, happy children and marital harmony since forever.
